Students study heat and particle control in torus edge plasma with divertors. They also study plasma transport and instabilities in the edge stochastic region which is one of the characteristics of the heliotron configuration and strongly influences the divertor plasma behavior. In addition, they develop and/or assemble experimental apparatus and diagnostics to be utilized for their studies.
