Teaching content

The research guidance is provided under the main theme of impurity transports of LHD plasmas based on spectroscopic diagnostics. In particular, the following two subjects are given; 1) Diagnostics of line spectra of emissions from tungsten impurity ions in lower ionization stages using impurity pellet injection and VUV spectroscopy, 2) Investigation on impurity transport in the edge ergodic layer based on VUV spectroscopy for the spatial profiles of emission intensity, ion temperature and flow velocity of carbon impurity ions.
