A study of the dynamics of magnetic islands and MHD of in LHD.
Magnetic island can be produced by imposing a perturbed magnetic field to magnetic configuration.
The magnetic island spontaneously grows or be healed lost during plasma discharge. Moreover, it is newly observed that the phase-shift of the magnetic islands be maintained.
Because of the possibility of improving the plasma confinement characteristics and MHD properties by active control of the magnetic islands, to find the conditions that govern the dynamics of the magnetic islands are important.
