In magnetically confined fusion plasmas, the collective behavior of charged particles induces fluctuations in magnetic fields and pressure. As these fluctuations grow, plasma performance can rapidly degrade, posing a significant challenge. These fluctuations are known as magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) instabilities. This project aims to investigate the characteristics of MHD instabilities through the fabrication of magnetic diagnostics, measurement of test magnetic fields, and development of data analysis programs.
The process of program development
