14. Five-dimensional simulation analysis of microinstabilities in fusion plasmas

Instructors Dr. Motoki Nakata, Dr. Masanori Nunami, and Dr. Seikichi Matsuoka

Microinstabilities, which are dominant causes of turbulence in fusion plasmas, are investigated by means of the five-dimensional linear gyrokinetic simulations. The participants in this topic will experience the research field on the plasma theory and simulation, through comparative studies of the dependence on the magnetic field geometry and/or the particle species in the plasma.
