8. Jump! Superconducting linear catapult – Flight –

Instructors Prof. Nagato Yanagi, Dr. Gen Motojima, Dr. Yoshiro Terazaki

The linear catapult using superconducting magnetic levitation is considered promising to install at the lunar base and carry the nuclear fusion fuel “helium 3” into the Earth’s orbit in the future. Similar systems can also be applied for ultra-high speed pellet injection that supply fuel to nuclear fusion plasmas. As a third project, we will introduce a feedback acceleration system for the electromagnetic propulsion system of the three-dimensional high-temperature superconducting magnetic levitation train and aim for flight.
