Magnetic shielding for devices such as turbo molecular pumps, mass spectrometers and ion gauges is essential to realize a fusion reactor. Magnetic shielding with multi layer has an advantage to enhance the shielding performance, however such a complex structure brings out a difficult design and the total weight will increase.
In the topic, we will clarify the characteristics of the shielding with multi layer by the experiments using the testing device composed of the Helmholtz coil and the magnetic probe and the analysis using finite element analysis software ANSYS.
